Foot Zone Therapy is a powerful and complete healing technique that can improve the health of those who experience consistent treatments. It is my desire that all recipients of a Foot Zone should notice improved health and vitality. It is a signal system that tells the brain what area of the body needs to be addressed. Similar to reflexology, Foot Zone Therapy addresses every area of the body through the Zone technique on the feet, although instead of addressing just the problem areas the foot zone technique addresses the whole body and focuses on the flow of everything working well together in perfect balance.
I have loved learning Foot Zone Therapy and absolutely loved my own zoning sessions. I’m excited to be able to share this wealth of knowledge my Father in Heaven has blessed me with and hope that I’ll be able to help many achieve a healthier lifestyle and a more comfortable life.
Since all truth is circumscribed into one great whole – everything is relative. 😉 What I found to be incredibly fascinating after learning the Foot Zone technique was that in the time of Christ’s life the people of Jerusalem and the surrounding areas didn’t have easy access to water so full body bathing was not common. Though, when one was able to have a full body bath it was often that they would have to travel to a location where they bathed, then once they were all clean they got out got dressed and walked back home. The sandals they wore during the time period meant that their feet were often dirty by the time they arrived home and they would then need to wash their feet again. The bathing of the body was representative of baptism, and thus once returning home and washing the feet was symbolic of the whole. By washing just the feet it was the equivalent of cleansing the whole body again.
Throughout His ministry, the Savior encouraged us to do the things that we had seen him do. After celebrating the feast of the Passover at the Last Supper, He went to each of His disciples and washed their feet. After this act of service, His instructions were:
“If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.” (John 13:14–15.)
My Foot Zone Therapy may not be the same ordinance performed by the Savior, but I love the similarity. I love that I am able to perform a service that will help heal and cleanse the body through working with peoples feet. Also noted separately is the reference of the woman that washed Jesus’ feet with her tears, and then anointed them with oil (Luke 7). Then there was also Mary Magdalene that anointed the Savior’s feet prior to his death. I love the similarity. That through anointing the feet it is the equivalent of anointing the whole of the body, so when I do a foot zone I also use olive oil and often an essential oil for the purpose of healing or helping in some way depending on the oil. I’m excited to share the skills I’ve been blessed with and hope you’ll enjoy it as well.
